Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Changelog Fast (the "Service"), available at changelogfa.st and operated by an independent maker (the "operator of changelogfa.st", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Changelog Fast connects to your development tools to automatically generate release notes, QA checklists, and related content, and to deliver them to the channels you configure. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Connected tools

When you connect a third-party tool (such as GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, Linear, Jira, or Slack), you authorize us to access and process data from that tool on your behalf, and to deliver content to it, solely to provide the Service. You represent that you have the right to grant this access. Your use of each connected tool remains subject to that provider's own terms.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the code, tickets, and other content you make available to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to access, process, and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate the Service for you, including sending relevant excerpts to our AI provider to generate output. Generated output is provided for your use.

5. AI-generated output

Release notes and related content are produced with the help of large language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing all output before publishing or relying on it. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of generated content.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in violation of any law or third-party rights;
• access data you are not authorized to access;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the security of the Service;
• use the Service to generate unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
• resell or abuse the Service in a way that degrades it for others.

7. Fees

Some features may require a paid plan. Where fees apply, they will be described at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

8. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by the operator of changelogfa.st and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or to the Service beyond the right to use it as permitted here.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of changelogfa.st will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
